In keeping with this effort, we support efforts to promote tree planting in developing countries, particularly in Africa.
Why plant trees?
Trees provide many of life's day-to-day necessities. In developing countries, food production is greatly reduced when too many trees are cut down; this contributes to recurring drought and famine. Tree planting programs improve economic, social, and environmental well-being for communities everywhere.
How can we plant trees with our purchases?
Any award or gift purchased from Rivanna can include a gift of trees. You can make a contribution directly to one of our tree planting partners, or we can bill you and make the contribution to the partner on your behalf.
Information regarding your gift of trees can be engraved directly on your award, front or back, at no additional charge. We can also provide you or your award recipients with tree planting certificates created in their honor. Please contact us for more details. |
